Use the Copy user settings process to copy settings from forms. These settings may include presets, filters, column properties, pivot table configurations, favorite forms, and the order and visibility of tabs. Select all the settings you want to copy. The process you choose determines from which user and from which forms the settings are copied:
Copy user settings for all forms (main menu, View menu): Copies the selected settings from all forms of another user.
Copy user settings for form (all entry forms, View menu): Copies the selected settings from one form of another user (the form from which you have opened the process). If, for example, you open and execute the process from the Customers form, only the settings from the Customers form of the other user will be copied.
Copy user settings for selected users (General Settings module, Rights folder, Users form, Edit menu): This process is to be used by application administrators. It will copy the selected settings of one user to a selection of users. These settings could be the settings of a single form or of all forms. Follow these steps:
On the Users form, select all users to which you want to copy the settings.
Open the Edit menu and choose the Copy user settings for selected users process.
In the field Copy from user, enter the user from which you want to copy the settings.
Fill in the rest of the form and execute the process.
Note: If the Sequence and visibility check box is selected, only the settings of standard tabs and custom tabs marked as common will be copied. The settings of personal custom tabs will not be copied. For instance, if for the other user the General tab is hidden and replaced by a common custom General tab, the latter tab will be copied. If the user has a personal custom Info tab, this tab will be ignored during the copy operation.
