Use the Part receipts without order form to register the receipt of parts for which no purchase order was created. These receipts are for goods you receive from your customer in order to include them as components in production or assemblies. This method is primarily used in sheltered workshops.
Once the receipts have been registered, they must be processed. Any postings required will not be made until the receipt lines have been processed. For example: registering the quantities received and their storage location. Use Process part receipts without order to process the receipts.
You can only process receipt lines of which the Receipt status is set to 'Ready for processing'.
Note: Receipts without purchase order can be registered only for parts for which the To receive without order check box is selected on the Purchase tab of the Parts form.
