Remote login

To meet the needs of organizations where employees can log in using devices such as magnetic keys, a new login method has been added to SFC. This method must be enabled before it can be used:

• In the SFC configuration tool, select the External login allowed check box.
• Enable the external login option on the terminals you will use for remote login by selecting the Remote login allowed option on the relevant terminals.
• Configure the code your external system needs to log in.

Note: This new functionality only relates to an API that gives access to the SFC service, thereby enabling remote login. Software must be developed to link the hardware (such as the magnetic key) to the API.
