Use an hour code to specify the work you have carried out. Direct hours are hours spent on work relating to a sales offer, sales order or production order. This means that when you register direct hours, you are required to specify exactly what you worked on.

Use these fields if you do not know the production order number and you want to reduce the list of production orders.

The customer list only shows customers for whom a valid production order exists. If you fill in a customer, the selection form of the Production order field only lists the production orders for this customer. Filling in the code of the sales offer or sales order will display only the production orders relating to that offer or order in the selection form of the Production order field.

If you know the production order number, skip these fields and enter the number yourself.

Specify the number of hours you have spent on this task. Hours are rounded off in Isah Time Registration based on the setting specified in the Configuration tool.

Whether you specify the time in hours and minutes or in hundredths of hours depends on the Time registration input setting in Isah. When using hundredths, you can use a period or comma to separate hours from hundredths of hours; if the input is set to hours and minutes, use a colon to separate them.

The start and end times of operations are informational. The total time worked is used in Isah Time Registration to perform time postings.

Use this field to specify the machine on which the operation was performed. This field is used in the search path that is checked to determine the actual costing rate for the machine.

Failure time can be registered as direct or indirect hours. The failure time is not used for cost or similar postings, but can be used for statistical purposes.

Enter an object if you have specifically worked on that particular object. A service employee, for example, can register time for a particular object, after which you can see the time spent by object on the Processed hours form in Isah. If an object is linked to the production order, the field is filled in automatically.

Enter a cost center if the hours are to be posted to a cost center. The cost center is used in the journal entry that is created in Isah when the hours are processed.

Isah TR posts the work based on the total time spent. Start and end times are merely informational; they are relevant only if fixed working hours tables are used, and Isah TR always uses a variable working hours table to register hours.

Background

Isah uses fixed and variable working hours tables. Every employee is assigned to a working hours table based on his or her schedule. If the employee is assigned to a variable working hours table, Isah TR will use this table to register the hours. If an employee has a fixed working hours table, however, Isah TR needs a variable table to fall back on in order to make the entries in Isah TR. The variable working hours table used by Isah TR in these cases is defined in the configuration tool settings.
