Isah displays the Report tab when you send a report as a PDF. If you are only sending an electronic message as part of your Supply Chain Integration, for example, then the Report tab is not available.
The report settings are defined for the report itself. The fields available on the Report tab depend on the form from which you open the Send documents process. For example, if you open the process from the Sales offers form, the Report tab shows all settings that apply to the report set for the customer the sales offer is intended for. You can change the settings if necessary, for example by manually selecting the data to be displayed in the report.
If a script has been specified for the report, it will be executed when the report is printed, but not when you display a print preview.
To check an email before sending it, you can save the email, including any attachments, as a draft in your email application, and then send it later. You may want to do so if you want to test new email settings or if the email has to be approved first. If you select the Draft check box, the email and its attachments are saved in the Drafts folder of your email application. In Isah, the email is then considered as having been sent, and it is displayed on the Documents sent form. If the Draft check box is selected, it means that the email is a draft version. You will have to send the email to the intended recipients yourself from your email application.
If you want to send the report by post, a search path is used to find a printer to print the report on. It is relevant whether you print a report for just one line (for one sales offer, for example), or for multiple lines (Multiselect). A different dispatch method may apply to each line.
The printer to print on is chosen as follows:
Isah first checks the printer type specified for the report. For R1007 Sales offer, the printer type could be 'Laser printer', for instance.
Isah then checks which printers have the same printer type as the report, for example 'Laser printer – black/white', 'Laser printer – color'.
If a printer with the same printer type as the report has been configured for the user, the report is printed on that printer.
If no printer has been configured for the user, and there is only one printer with the same printer type as the report, the report is printed on that printer. If there is more than one printer with this printer type, it is relevant whether the report is printed for just one line or for multiple lines:
If it is printed for just one line, the first printer linked to this printer type is selected from the printer list. You can select a different printer with the same printer type, if required.
If the 'Send documents' process is executed in the Multiselect mode, the report is not printed. The reason for this is that the process for multiple lines is executed automatically, and if there is more than one available printer, Isah cannot determine the printer to be used and you do not have the ability of choosing a printer yourself.
