Parts used for a task are registered in the Part issues section on the Registrations tab of the task. Unplanned issues are unforeseen issues and are therefore not yet registered. When you add these, Isah MFS will automatically add the part to the production calculation of the task in Isah.
Click the icon to add an issue and specify that it is an unplanned issue.
In the case of an unplanned operation, the selection form displays the stock lines of parts with your default warehouse filled in. If also a default location has been specified, only the parts available at that location are listed. Selecting the Remove location filter check box will display all parts from all locations at the warehouse. You can remove a location filter only when you are connected to the Internet. If no default location has been set, you will see all parts present in the warehouse. Select the part you are using for the task.
Use the search feature to find the part more quickly: type all or part of the part code, description, certificate number, or lot number.
Note: Isah MFS takes into account object-linked parts. These parts have one stock line for each unique part, which makes it easy to identify the right part. When you select an object-linked part for issue, the Object field appears, in which you need to choose the right object.
A warehouse/location can be set on two levels: for the company as a whole and for an individual service employee.
Company: If most service employees use the same warehouse, you can specify that warehouse in the Settings in the Isah Configuration Tool. If they normally use one particular location, you fill in that location as well. Isah MFS uses the default warehouse and default location only if no specific warehouse/location is specified for the logged in user.
User: To specify a warehouse/location at user level, open the Isah Configuration Tool and go to the user settings. If a particular employee uses a different warehouse from the default warehouse, then select the employee and fill in the alternative warehouse. If the employee uses several locations within the warehouse, leave the Location field empty. Fill in the field only if the employee uses just one location at the warehouse. Once an employee has been assigned his or her own warehouse/location, the default warehouse and default location specified in the general settings will no longer apply to this employee.
Isah MFS uses your warehouse (and location, where applicable) when issuing unplanned parts for a service task; in the case of planned issues, Isah always registers the parts against the warehouse specified in the production calculation.
When using unplanned parts, you can only specify parts that:
have at least one stock line
are located in your warehouse and at your location. If no specific location has been set for you, you will see all parts in the warehouse, regardless of their location within the warehouse.
