To test the External login option, use the Isah SFC External Login demo application.

1. Start SFC on a terminal on which External login has been enabled. Do not log in, but leave the terminal waiting with the login window open, showing the departments or users within the departments.
2. Check for a green bullet on the bottom left of the screen. If the bullet is red, External login does not work properly.
3. Find the personnel number of an SFC user to log in.
4. On the same terminal you used to start SFC, start …\API Demo\ExternalLogin\Bin\Isah.ShopFloorControl.Demo.Login.exe. The demo login window will appear. Log in by entering the information:
   • Service Server: the name of the server that hosts the SFC Web Service
   • Service Port: the port number for SFC on this same server
   • Machine: the name of the terminal on which you started both SFC and the demo application. This name is already shown by default.
   • Session ID: in a Terminal Server session (RDS), this has to be the session ID. The ID is shown by default and will most likely not need to be changed.

     Of the following two fields, only one needs to be filled in:

   • Employee ID: the personnel number belonging to someone with access to SFC.
   • Badge ID: the badge number belonging to someone with access to SFC.
   • Press the corresponding Login button.

If External login works properly, the user will now be logged in to SFC. The demo application will notify you and the SFC session you started will show you the user has been logged in. This result tells you that the standard software for SFC External Login has been installed and configured correctly.
