Submitting your Intrastat declaration

The Intrastat declaration must be submitted on a monthly basis. The process involves exporting the relevant details from Isah to an export file. This export file will then be read in IDEP, and will become an import file in IDEP. Use IDEP to submit the actual declaration.

Creating the export file in Isah

In Isah, navigate to the Sales offers and orders form, Edit menu, CBS Intrastat declaration. On the Export CBS data processing form that appears, enter the following details:

• Period: Specify the period the declaration relates to. Isah uses the month and the year in the name of the export file (see the File name field).
• Declaration: Specify whether the declaration includes the import of goods (receipts), the export of goods (shipments), or both.
• File name: By default, the name of the export file is C:\ProduktieDBCMS_<Maand><Jaar>.TXT. Isah fills the parameters <Maand> en <Jaar> if you have specified the period. To change the base name, navigate to the General Settings module, Technical central data folder, Scripts form, and make the change in the BSS_001CF1 Intrastat Sub Config script.

Remark

In the script BSS_001CF! you can specify settings such as:

• The default directory and the file name of the declaration (cDefaultFileName)
• The type of declaration you are submitting:
  • For sales declarations ('export'), the parameter bEnableExport must be set to 'True'
  • For purchase declarations ('import'), the parameter bEnableImport must be set to 'True'
  • To exclude one of the declarations, all you have to do is set the relevant parameter to 'False'.

Importing the import file into IDEP

In IDEP, navigate to the Import menu, CBS declarations, New, Start template import (software references may vary slightly). Other settings were defined when you set up IDEP. The software will therefore immediately start importing the file you have specified in the settings. This means you cannot select a different path or a different name; the import file will always have the same name and is always found at the same location.

If IDEP encounters any problems, a message will be displayed. You can then choose to open a form that allows you to correct any incorrect details.
