Users

Use the Users form to specify the employees within your organization who are to have access to Isah. For each of these users, enter their name and some basic details. Users can only work with Isah if:

• Their user name has been added to the Users form
• Rights have been assigned to their user name

When you save the details of a new user, a window will appear showing an auto-generated password for this person to use to log in to Isah. Clicking the Send email button in this window will generate an email message to be sent to the new user. If the user's email address is already known (because it appears in the user's employee details), then the email address is filled in automatically. After logging in to Isah for the first time, the user can change the password.

If you are using the Integrated Login functionality (see below), a separate Isah password is not required. In that case, you just link the Windows user name to the user.

You can set different authorizations for each user. Only users who are application managers are automatically given rights to certain forms in order to allow them to perform actions such as creating new users and resetting passwords. Use the buttons on the button bar to define the following user information:

• Permission to use alternative routings
• Permission to process the data of other users
• The sales orders, purchase orders, and production order statuses for which they are allowed to run processes
• Their rights to presets

Tip: For a quick view of the rights and status range assigned to an individual user, select the user in question. Then open the Information menu and choose one of the informational forms.

Note: When you add a new user or user group to Isah, this user or user group will not have any status rights. You can change this by adding lines with status rights, or by selecting the Assign maximum status range check box for the Create user rights process or the Create user group rights process.

Integrated Login

The Integrated Login functionality allows you to log in to Isah and the Isah Integration Server automatically when you are logged in to Windows. The setting applies to all Isah databases and to all Isah users linked to a Windows user. When the Automatic Login functionality is used, the Isah user linked to the logged-in Windows user is logged in to the database to which he or she was logged in the last time. In order to use the Integrated Login functionality, first link Isah users to their Windows user names and then enable the Integrated Login option in the Isah License Server.

The following scenarios may occur:

• No Integrated Login: If the Integrated Login check box in the Isah License Server is deselected, the Integrated Login functionality is not enabled. Isah users use the standard Isah login screen to manually enter their login credentials.
• Automatic login using Integrated Login was successful: If the Integrated Login check box is selected and the Isah user is linked to a Windows user name, the Isah user can log in to Isah automatically if he or she is logged in to Windows.
• Automatic login using Integrated Login failed: If the Integrated Login check box is selected, but the Isah user is not linked to a Windows user name, the automatic login will fail. The Isah user cannot log in to Isah until the system administrator has linked the Isah user to a Windows user name.
• Isah user aborts the automatic login with Integrated Login: Even if all Integrated Login settings have been entered, you may decide to abort the automatic login and log in using different credentials. You may want to do so, for example, if you want to switch databases or if an application administrator wants to log in to your system. You can abort the login by pressing the ESC key on the Isah welcome screen (splash screen). If the other user name you are logging in with is linked to a Windows account, then use the Windows login name. If the other user is not linked to a Windows account, you should use the Isah user name. In both cases, you must have application management rights for Isah.

  If you enter a different Windows user on the standard Isah login form, you can enter the Windows user name in different ways.

Command line login
