Budgets (Central Data)

Budgets allow you to compare financial forecasts to actual costs and revenues. Use the Budgets form to manage the budgets for ledger accounts, where required broken down by cost centers and cost categories. You can use budgets to set a standard for your company/fiscal years. Select an allocation method to automatically distribute the budget over the periods in a fiscal year, based on period-specific percentages.

You could, for example, define the following budgets:

• Ledger budget: A budget for every ledger account
• 25% Growth budget: A budget for every ledger account that assumes a company growth of 25%.
• Cost center budget: A budget for every ledger account with a mandatory cost center.
