Lines

Specify the budget and what you want to use it for. Define the ledger accounts (and, where necessary, the cost center or cost category) the budget applies to. Create a new line for every combination of ledger account, cost center or cost category.

For 'Cost Center Budget', for example, you could create individual budget lines corresponding to the cost centers 'Sawing Department' and 'Cutting Department' for the ledger account 'Investments':
