Shop Floor Control now offers the option to immediately assign lot numbers when registering produced quantities. Lot numbers are assigned when you register quantities that result in a production receipt for sales, further production (semi-finished articles) or stock.
Parts finalized during production, and therefore released for further production (semi-finished articles), stock or sales orders, can automatically be assigned lot numbers. Lot numbers can be assigned:
By production order: All parts resulting from a particular production order will have the same lot number
By quantity registration: A new lot number is created whenever parts for a production order are finalized.
The following settings are relevant if you want to use automatic lot numbers.
In Isah Configuration, the Create production receipts field specifies that production receipts are to be created immediately upon the registration of production quantities ('Yes' or 'Yes, process').
In Isah Configuration, the Lot number template field controls how numbers are assigned by Shop Floor Control.
In the Parts module, the individual part settings specify that the relevant part should be assigned lot numbers in the production stage. On the Calculation/production tab, set the Generate during production field to 'By quantity registration' or 'By production order'.
Use the following settings to configure the use of lot numbers:
In Isah Configuration, use the Automatically open production receipts field to specify whether the production receipts form should be opened automatically, and if so, whether this should always be the case or only if object or lot numbers have been created.
Note: If the part-level SFC option is set to unique lot numbers 'By production order', but lot numbers are also created by Isah, then, in theory, a conflict may arise, as multiple lot numbers may then be created in Isah. In this case, SFC will always use the oldest lot number known for the production order.
