Crystal Reports reports replaced

In Isah 4.0, FastReport was introduced for standard Isah reports and for creating custom reports. In this release, FastReport works alongside the original Crystal Reports report generator. New reports have already been created in FastReport from Isah 4.0 onwards, and since then, also users have been recommended to create custom reports in FastReport. In Isah 4.5.2, some of the Crystal Reports reports have been replaced (see Alternatives for obsolete reports).

Alternatives for Crystal Reports reports

Starting with Isah 4.5.2, the standard Crystal Reports reports will be phased out. The reason for this is that the information provided by the old Crystal Reports reports can be retrieved in a similar or better fashion in Isah. The alternatives available for the old reports are:

Note: If you want to use new presets or reports to replace obsolete Crystal Reports reports, make sure you generate rights to these presets and reports.

Examples

'Countries' report replaced by form print preview

To retrieve the information previously retrieved with the R0006 Countries report, create a print preview of the Countries form. You can create custom views by:

'Customers' report replaced by form print preview with additional presets

To retrieve the information previously retrieved with the R0001 Customers report, create a print preview of the Customers form. To provide more comprehensive and more useful information than the old report, the following presets have been added to the form: Customer data - detailed, Debtors - detailed, and Customer addresses.

'Hours by order' report replaced

To retrieve the information previously retrieved with the R0069 Hours by order report, create a print preview of the Total actual costs overview form. The 'Default selection' preset on this form has been greatly extended. It now contains all columns relevant to creating hour statements by order, including, for instance, the cycle times and the costs by machine and employee.

'Sales invoice' report replaced by FastReport 'Sales invoice' report

Instead of the Crystal Reports report R0066 Sales invoice, you can now use the FastReport report R1008 Sales invoice. The functionality of the old report has been greatly expanded. For example, you can now add text blocks of a particular text type to the report, and you can print the report in a language not supported by Isah by default. This means you can now print a sales invoice in Spanish, for instance.

Modify custom presets because of 'Default selection' preset extensions

On some forms, the 'Default selection' preset has been extended to provide more informative overviews. If you have created custom presets on those forms, you need to add the new fields to your custom presets. The 'Default selection' preset has been extended on the following forms:
