Part features

The Part features form lists the features that are linked to a part. These features originate from:

• The current feature group that is linked to the part
• Any previous feature groups that were linked to the part
• Manually linking features to a part on the current form

Features allow you to specify a wide range of data, such as technical specifications, which you could use for the Sales or Production Configurator. If you are using objects, you can use features to add company-specific data to an object.

If a part for which features and options have been defined is added to a sales line, for instance, then you can configure the exact composition of the part using questions and answers.
