Use the Replace part revision in part calculation process to replace the revision for all part lines in which the part is used by the selected revision. You can choose to replace only the one but last revision. For example, you might want to apply a newly created revision only in those locations where the previous revision is used and you want to keep older revisions. You can also choose to replace each revision by the selected revision.

In the following cases, it is not possible to replace a revision:

• The part is obsolete
• The part is locked
• Part revision management is active, the revision has been released, and you have configured the software to create a copy of the part line if the Revision field changes.

In this case, a message will be added to the log.
