Log

The Log form lists all messages logged in Isah. Examples are error messages, warnings and processing messages. All of these messages, also called 'log entries', contain information about the time the error or warning occurred or the processing message was returned, as well as the relevant message type and message code.

The structure of the error or warning message provides information about the cause of the message. The memo pad below the form provides additional information about the selected message. This information allows you to use the messages for problem-solving purposes.

Processing messages provide information about the execution of processes such as 'Backflush', 'Run MRP', and 'Export master data and journal entries'. For the execution of processes that result in status advancements, information such as status checks is taken into account. It is therefore possible that a status cannot be advanced because the status type does not allow this. A log entry will be created for every record that cannot be processed.

To prevent particular message codes from being included in the log, for example because the corresponding messages are not relevant to you, add these message codes to the Excluded messages form. Then use the Log settings form to specify when these excluded message codes are not to be logged, for example if they are triggered by a particular program.

To delete the messages in the log, use the Delete log lines process.
