Shop Floor Control can be configured to support your specific workflow. For this, use the settings in Shop Floor Control Configuration.
Visible operations
This setting determines the maximum number of operations shown in the Operations form. If the setting's value is 0, no maximum applies.
If a maximum is set, Shop Floor Control will always show at least one operation that is not running. In some cases, this can result in a list that has more than the maximum quantity of operations. For instance, if you have set the maximum to 5 and all five operations are running, SFC will show a sixth line that has not started yet.
Show 'Work In Progress' operations
If this setting is active, the Operations form will also show WIP operations (Work In Progress; operations that are started by one or more users). If it is not active, WIP operations will not be shown.
This setting determines the operations that will be shown in the Operation overview. The configured range will be checked against the status of the production order of the operation. If the status is not within this range, the operation will not be shown.
This setting determines the operations that will be shown in the Operation overview. The configured range will be checked against the status of the operation. If the status is not within this range, the operation will not be shown.
With this setting, you can rule out operations that are not eligible for work, based on the availability of the materials. You can set a minimum level of availability for all materials. If an operation does not meet this condition, it is not shown in SFC.
With this setting, you can rule out operations that are not eligible for work, based on the state of the previous operations. You can set a minimum state for any previous operation. If an operation does not meet this condition, it is not shown in SFC.
This setting is used when operations are retrieved. The number of days in the future is specified by the value of this setting. If no number is supplied, all operations are retrieved.
Filter settings
This setting contains all departments that are visible in the operation filter for SFC. If left empty, all departments are visible in SFC.
Malfunctions
When an operation (man or machine) encounters a malfunction, it is possible to log this malfunction in SFC. For that, you first need to configure possible malfunctions:
N.B.: If you leave the Visible malfunctions field empty, SFC will show all malfunction codes from Isah in SFC.
Memo
Activate this setting if users are allowed to change the operation Memo field in SFC. Any alterations will be saved automatically, but a Save button is available, as well as Undo and Redo buttons.
Documents
If this setting is active, SFC users see documents based on the document permissions set in Isah (form 0624). If this setting is not active, SFC shows all documents for an operation or order.
Logon
Use SFC to manage presence at logon
This setting determines whether or not the presence indicator on the Login form is controlled by Shop Floor Control. If the presence is registered by an external system, this setting should be set inactive. Note that, regardless of this setting, the user will always be set to 'Present' when logging in to Shop Floor Control.
This setting determines if users need a PIN code. If it is active, the user needs a four-digit PIN code that needs to be entered every time they log on. The user can change the PIN code in the Shop Floor Control Settings window.
Logoff
If a timetable or timetables (divided by a semicolon) are set in this field, users will be automatically logged out (and their running operation stopped) at a specific time. The time is set per hour code. You can configure this time in the Isah window for hour codes.
When the user ends a shift, Shop Floor Control checks if the presence registered by the application is in accordance with the schedule for that day. If the setting is active, the application will force the user to add time registrations for absence periods.
This value is used for the Check on presence setting and determines the time margin allowed for presence time. A difference in hours is only considered a mismatch if it is larger than the margin configured here.
When a user ends a working day, Shop Floor Control checks if the working hours registered by the application are in accordance with the time the user was present. This setting determines if the application will force the user to add time registrations if there is a mismatch between presence hours and registered hours:
This value is used for the Type of working time check field and determines the time margin allowed for working hours. A difference in hours is only considered a mismatch if it is larger than the margin configured here.
Actions after reporting numbers
This setting controls the creation of production receipts. You can use it to create and process them automatically when quantities are reported for the last operation in a production order.
You have three options:
Create dispatches for backflush materials
When produced items are reported, this setting determines if the materials are issued automatically.
This setting has three options:
This setting determines if manual issues are processed immediately.
Defaults
This field sets the initial status code for unplanned, new operations that are created in the SFC application. Operations with this status code will always be shown in the operations overview, regardless of the operation status range defined in the settings.
It is possible to specify a timetable for users without a work schedule for the current day. If this has been done and a user logs in, SFC creates a schedule line. If the default timetable is empty, users without a schedule cannot login to SFC.
Machine operations will be booked on the timetable specified here.
Machine, man, man + machine
Default values for operation times
The various operation times can be linked to hour codes. This is needed for the time selection to be available in Shop Floor Control. If no hour code is configured, the selection will be not available.
