KPI lines can be created automatically with the Create indicator lines process. The auto-created lines will appear on the Indicator lines form, where the standard values and the actual KPI values, quantities, and sums are displayed.

It is also possible to create KPI lines manually.

You can choose to distribute the standard KPI sum or quantity proportionately among the lines by selecting the Distribute sum and quantity proportionallycheck box. If you do not select the check box, the quantity and/or sum will not be filled in. In those cases, you will have to enter the values manually.

The process can only be executed if the following conditions are true:

• The KPI has a 'Provisional' status.
• The KPI does not have any lines.
• The duration unit must be greater than the period division unit specified on the Key performance indicators form. A duration of one year divided into monthly periods is fine, but not the other way around.
• The specified start date must always be the first day of a month, such as January 01, 2011.
