Use the Grouped operations form if your company uses line operations. The Grouped operations form allows you to define line operations. You can do so by grouping operations in the operation calculation.
You can also use the line operation to post hours in the Time Registration module.
The definition of the line operation is based on the operation line selected when you clicked the Grouped operations button. This operation is the first operation to be executed as part of the line operation. You could use a dummy for this operation, if desired. Then click the Grouped operations button to specify the other operations that are part of the line operation. These will be linked to the selected operation (dummy). When posting the hours in the Time Registration module, post the line operation hours to the first operation within the line operation (the dummy).
Example
An operation line has two machines: a cutting machine and a bending machine. The cutting machine automatically feeds the bending machine. When an hour is posted against the bending machine, it means that the cutting machine has also been used for an hour.
In the time registration records, the hour line created for the bending machine is split up, and an hour line is created for the cutting machine as well. To enable this functionality, run the Split up line operations process.
