Sales offers and orders

The Sales offers and orders form shows the existing sales offers and sales orders, and in some instances allows you to edit some of the data on the form. The information recorded in offers and orders includes:

• The customer the sales offer or sales order is intended for
• The date or dates the shipments must be made
• The parts to be delivered

The Sales offers and orders form consists of the following elements:

• The List tab lists the sales offers and orders.
• A pane on the General tab shows the sales lines belonging to the selected offer or order. This pane allows you to select a sales line.
• The other tabs show the data of the sales line selected on the General tab.

The Sales offers and orders form is available in several modules. The module from which you open the form will determine which data are actually displayed on the form and which data can be changed.

Note: The Sales offers and orders form does not allow you to add offers or orders, or to change all of the data (sales lines). To add sales offers or orders, or to change more data, open the Sales offers or Sales orders form in the Sales module.

Note: It is possible to deliver parts to a customer without creating a shipping line. This is relevant, for instance, for components of a machine that will be assembled at the customer's site. You can also use it for additional parts that need to be included in the delivery, such as installation items for a machine. In the production calculation, select Delivery to customer for the part.
