Remarks

Equipment can be depreciated based on the time registration records only if the following conditions are true:

The Depreciation type field for the equipment is set to 'By time unit' or 'By processing quantity'.
In the production calculation for equipment, a sum has been entered in the Variable costs field, in the Fixed costs field, or in both fields on the Cost price tab of the equipment.
In the production calculation for equipment, the equipment has the order code 'Use from warehouse'.
In the production calculation for equipment, the equipment is linked to the operation for which the equipment is used.

Costs are posted when the registered hour lines for the operation line to which the equipment is linked are processed in the Time Registration module.

Fixed costs are posted once. They are posted when the first hour posting is made against the relevant operation line. The Depreciation type field on the Equipment form is relevant to the variable costs. If this field is set to 'By time unit', depreciation takes place by hour; if it is set to 'By processing quantity', depreciation takes place by piece.
