Process part issues

To issue parts to a production order or cost center, register the issues in the Part issues transaction file. To record a registered issue, you also need to process the issue using Process part issues.

Note: To process just one issue line, select the line on the Part issues form, and then open the Process part issues item from the Edit menu.

Note: Only authorized issue lines can be processed. An issue line has been authorized when an issue date has been entered for the issue line on the Part issues form, and the Issue status field is set to 'Ready for processing'.

Results

When the issue is processed, the following happens:

Stock issue
  • The issue quantity is deducted from the stock.
  • The reserved stock is reduced by the same quantity.
  • If the part issued is a part for which no calculation line was present in the production order yet ('Production order, unplanned'), a calculation line will be created automatically.

 

Once the issue to stock has been processed, the result is displayed in the Stock overview in the Parts module.

To order
  • The issue quantity is deducted from the WIP location.
  • The reservation on the order is reduced by the same quantity.
