Run the Extend service contract versions process to:
Extending a single service contract version
Run the Extend service contract versions process to create one new contract version under the same service contract based on one existing service contract version. The process ensures that the version is automatically extended by the period specified in the parent service contract.
Before running the process, select the data to be copied from the existing contract version to the new contract version. These data may include the relevant objects, the specified cost lines, etcetera.
The end date of the new contract version is automatically calculated by adding the extension period to the start date. A start date of January 1 and an extension period of one year will result in an end date of December 31. The extension period is defined in the service contract to which the contract version belongs.
To be able to extend a contract version, the following conditions must be true:
Extending multiple service contract versions
It is possible to extend all service contract versions in multiple service contracts simultaneously. A new service contract version will then automatically be created for all service contract versions. When extending, you can specify the values to be copied to the new contract versions. If an object also exists in another contract version, the contract version cannot be extended.
To be able to extend all service contract versions of multiple contracts automatically, the following conditions must be true:
Any service contract versions that have already been extended will no longer be included.
Note: When contract versions are extended, any price increases are taken into account. In the contract, specify whether fixed or variable price increases should be applied. If you choose 'Fixed', the percentage is copied from the contract. If you choose 'Variable', the percentage is copied from the processing form. The software takes into account the maximum increase percentage you have specified in the Maximum increase field on the Service contracts form.
