Process part receipts from customer

Run the Process part receipts from customer process to process the receipt of parts from a customer. These parts you have received and are intended to be used as a component of the finished product ordered by the customer.

Before you can register part receipts with this process, you need to create receipt lines for the parts you will receive. The parts will not be registered as received until these receipt lines have been processed. Create the receipt lines in the Part receipts from customer file.

Note: You can only process receipt lines of which the Receipt status is set to 'Ready for processing'.

Note: Registration of parts received from a customer is merely informational. Parts are not registered as stock and are not posted as costs to an order. After the receipt of the goods supplied has been processed, the quantities in the production order for which the goods were received are updated, however.
