This section describes what happens in Isah when you import a despatch advice message sent to you by a supplier. Elements coming from the despatch advice message are placed in your system, where it becomes a receipt of part purchases.
For validation checks that Isah uses to see if the message can be imported, see Goods receipt.
General notes
If a Receipts of part purchases line has been added to Isah by an electronic message, the Receipt status (PurDocPartReceipt.ProcessStatus) is set to 'Registered'.
Once the purchase order in the message has been validated successfully, Isah retrieves the PurchaseDocument.PurOrdNr and PurDocPartReceipt.PDPartLineNr for the Receipts of part purchases line from your database. Isah will also retrieve other relevant information from the purchase order, such as lot number and certificate, if present.
If the number of received parts equals the number of expected parts, Isah will mark the line as complete.
The username attached to the created line is 'ISAH'.
Destination
If the destination of a purchase order is 'Stock', warehouse and location as listed on the purchase order line are entered on the Receipts of part purchases line.
If the destination of the purchase order is 'Sales order', warehouse and location are left empty on the Receipts of part purchases line.
Receiving object-linked parts
If you receive object-linked parts, they all need to be assigned a unique number. Therefore they cannot be received in bulk. Isah will create as many receipt lines as the number of received parts.
If the Despatch advice message contains object codes in the Serial ID's, they will be stored in PurDocPartReceipt.SerialNrRef (only visible in the database). This will only work properly if there are as many object codes as there are parts. If not, you will have either a surplus of object codes or not enough object codes. If this is the case, a warning will be logged with the electronic message.
Lot numbers
If a supplier has added lot numbers to the despatch advice, Isah will store these in the database fields PurDocPartReceipt.LotNrRef. This means you can retrieve them and use them to create a new lot or certificate numbers if necessary.
