Purchase part groups are used to organize parts into groups that are useful from a purchasing point of view. Use the Purchase part groups to organize purchase parts into different groups. If you also use purchase part main groups, you can organize the groups into main groups.
The use of purchase part groups has no financial implications. The structure of the groups is the same as that of other part (main) groups. A part can be linked to multiple types of part groups. This is done on the Parts form: for an engineering group open the Calculation/production tab, for a purchase group open the Purchase tab, for a sales group open the Sales tab, and for a service part group open the Object tab.
Tip: Start with a limited number of items for a clear and convenient setup. You can always extend your setup at a later stage.
