If this check box has been selected, a routing must be specified in the Routingfield. If the Routing field already contains a routing, this routing may be deleted only if the Routing required check box has not been selected.
If the Routing required check box has not been selected, the Routing field may be left empty. If a routing has been filled in, this routing may be deleted.
This field shows the status type. For more information on status types, refer to the section 'Status types as protection mechanisms'. This is an informational field and cannot be modified.
Status types as protection mechanisms
Once a status has been filled in for a sales line or production file, a number of protective locks will automatically be set for the file involved. These locks are based on the status type filled in for the sales status (on a sales line) or the production status (on a production file).
Below you will find an overview of the locks applicable to sales lines and production files having a particular status type.

It is not always possible to change the status type of a sales line. For example, you cannot change the status of a sales line to an 'Offer' type if certain actions have already been performed for the line.
Use the Sales line status overview menu item to list the actions already performed for the sales line, and to check whether the status can be changed to 'Offer' or 'History'.
Below you will find an overview of the options and conditions for changing the status type.

It is not always possible to change the status type of a production file. For example, you cannot change the status of a production file to an 'Offer' type if parts have already been used for the file.

In the offer stage, the scoring chance enables you to indicate the chance of you actually getting the order.
The default value of this field is automatically copied from the order or offer header.
If a sales offer has been rejected, you can assign a reason to the sales line to indicate why the offer has been rejected.
See also Reasons.
Use this field to specify the identification code the customer uses for the part.
This is an informational field. You could, for example, enter the customer's purchase order in this field.
This is the current drawing number of the part. If in the Parts module, a drawing number has been specified for the part, this drawing number will automatically be copied to this field. You can modify it, if required.
Quality standards are used to indicate the quality standards the part must meet, such as 'Heat resistant' or 'Epoxied'. If the part is included in an sales offer or order, also the quality will be displayed. The field value can still be modified here.
The print code is used to specify the external documents on which the part must be included if a part is sold based on a sales offer or sales order. You can choose 'Do not print', or different combinations of order confirmation, shipping (shipping note) and invoicing (invoice).
For instance, if you include the part 'Administration costs' on a sales order, you probably do not want this part listed on the shipping note, but you do want it listed on the order confirmation and the invoice. In this case, choose the 'Order confirmation & Invoicing' print code.
This field's setting is the default value used on the sales lines when the part is included in a sales line. The field value can still be modified here.
In this field, the sales quantity specified (Quantity*length*width*height; see the General tab) is converted into the number of stock units. You cannot change this field.
The stock unit of the part is retrieved from the Parts module (Parts form, General tab). The quantity is converted into stock units based on the settings specified for the part in the Parts module (for example, '1 sales unit = 100 stock units').
In these fields, the sales quantity specified (Quantity*length*width*height, see the General tab) is converted to either the weight or the surface, as applicable. You cannot change this field.
The weight and surface information for the part is retrieved from the General tab in the Parts module. If on that tab no value has been specified for the part, this field will have a value of '0'.
In this field, the sales quantity specified (Quantity*length*width*height; see the General tab) is converted into the number of sales units. You cannot change this field.
The sales unit of the part is retrieved from the Parts module (Parts form, Sales tab). The quantity is converted into sales units based on the settings specified for the part in the Parts module (for example, '100 stock units = 1 sales unit').
If this check box is selected, the sales line is a subline that was inserted automatically. This is an informational field that is managed by the software. You cannot modify the field.
Sublines can be copied to an offer or order automatically. This is the case if this behavior has been configured for the part in the Parts module (Parts form, Sales tab, Customers button, Pricing scales button, Sublines button), and the part is then added to a sales offer or order. If a search for a sales price returns a subline that is applicable, this subline will be copied to the sales offer or order, and the 'Copied subline' check box will be selected on the sales line.
Example
Parts module:
Part: |
Display |
$ 800 |
Subline: |
Administrative charges |
$ 50 |
If the part 'Display' is included on a sales line for an offer or order, the program will search for a valid sales price. If a valid sales price is found in the pricing scales (Parts module, Customers button), that price may include a subline. This is true in the example above. In this case, an additional sales line will be included in the offer or order, called a 'subline', containing the administrative charges:
Order administration:
Order 20006458
Sales line 001 |
Display |
$ 800 |
Subline 001 |
Administrative charges |
$ 50 |
|
Copied subline |

If this check box is selected, financial postings have been made for this sales line (for example, a sales invoice has been created for it). Once financial postings have been made, it is no longer possible to delete the sales line.
This is an informational field that is managed by the software. You cannot modify the field.
Sales line complete, Sales line completion date
If the Sales line complete check box is selected, no more deliveries can be made on this line. The line will be blocked for shipping, which means that in the Shipping module no more shipping notes can be created for this line. To make a delivery on this sales line anyway, you must clear this check box. The shipping block will be canceled and you will be able to make shipments again.
You can confirm a sales line, or undo its confirmation, by running the Confirm sales line process from the Edit menu.
The Sales line complete date field shows the date on which the sales line was confirmed as complete, either by selecting the Sales line complete check box, or by running the Confirm sales line process.
The date in this field can only be changed to the current date by undoing the confirmation of the sales line. By then confirming the sales line again, the current date is inserted in this field.
