If the value in the Object-linked field is 'Yes, create manually', you have to create the object yourself on the Objects form. You also specify the sequence number there.

If the Object-linked field is set to 'Yes, auto-create', the sequence number will be created automatically. Auto-created objects are assigned codes based on a search path. The search path is checked in descending order, as follows:

1. The sequence number of the part at the current level as set on the Object tab of the Parts form in the Parts module.
2. The sequence number specified for the service part group on the General tab of the Service part groups form in the Service module (Basic data form).
3. The general sequence number on the Object/service tab of the Codes form in the General Settings module, Settings item.

If the Sequence number field in the Parts module is used to assign a code, the next available number will be assigned to the object, and the value in this field will be increased automatically. This field therefore always tells you the last assigned sequence number.

An object code can consist of more than just a sequence number. For example, you could choose to compose the code of using various elements, such as 'Part code' + 'Year' + 'Sequence number'. You can define the numbering method in a script that is filled in on the Object tab of the Basic data form (General Settings module, Settings item).

A service contract in Isah has an internal number that is only used in the background. This technical key is only relevant for the internal operation of Isah, for script writers and for report writers.

This field shows the internal number that has been added last. This number cannot be changed.
