Making a rough calculation using plan groups

You can use plan groups to make a rough calculation for a project. The methods most suitable for your purpose will depend on your working methods and the type of product you manufacture (for example, a one-off or repeat product). When calculating project items by using plan groups, costs are not broken down in detail, but estimates organized in plan groups are used instead.

Plan groups can be added to part lines, operation lines, equipment lines, external operation lines and sales lines. For sales lines, you can also use plan groups to estimate the proceeds.
