This is the day on which the work was done.
The hour code is used to specify the type of work that has been performed. If the work has been performed for a particular order (direct hours), the order data are registered on the hour line. Also indirect hours can be registered, for example 'Work consultation' or 'Illness'. For indirect hours, you cannot specify any order data, but you could, for example, specify a cost center.
If you enter a direct hour code, you are required to specify the offer, order, or production order the hours were spent on.
This is an informational field that cannot be modified. The value of this field is retrieved from the hour code.
The posting type indicates the type of hours being posted: presence hours, direct hours, indirect hours, or absence hours.
The setting of this field determines which fields are to be filled in when registering hours. For example, when registering direct hours, an offer or order, a production order, and an operation line must be specified. For indirect hours, these fields are not relevant, but a cost center can be filled in instead.
The value of this field also controls the options available when filling in the Post to field. For example, hour codes of the 'Presence hours' posting type are not posted, which is why for an hour code of the 'Presence hours' type, only the 'No posting' value can be entered in the Post to field.
This is an informational field that cannot be modified. The value of this field is retrieved from the hour code.
This field indicates the type of hours to be posted, for example 'Setup labor costs' or 'Machine cycle costs'. If you register the different activities for every operation separately, the actual costing process does not only show the number of hours posted to a particular operation, but also the number of hours related to 'Setup labor time' and 'Machine cycle time', for instance.
If this field is set to No posting, the hours for this hour code will be registered, but no labor, machine or overhead costs will be posted.
If you are using work orders, enter the work order number. Using this number, Isah will fill in the data relating to this work order automatically.
Note: This field can be filled in only if the entry relates to direct hours (work performed on a particular order, offer, or production order).
If you are using clusters, fill in the number of the cluster for which the work was performed. A cluster groups several operations that have been performed simultaneously by one employee. For example, an employee can operate various machines at the same time.
The employee's actual hour lines are calculated based on the ratio of the preliminary machine times.
Order, Offer, Production order
Where applicable, specify the order, offer, or production order for which the work was performed. If you filled in a work order, this information will be filled in automatically.
Note: This field can be filled in only if the entry relates to direct hours (work performed on a particular order, offer, or production order).
Use this field to specify the capacity group within which the operation was performed. This field is filled based on the operation line specified in the Operation field. You can change this default capacity group, for example if an operation was performed within another capacity group than was anticipated in the preliminary costing phase.
This field is used in the search path that is checked to determine the actual costing rate for the machine.
Note: If you do not select an operation line, but do enter a capacity group, a new operation line with the selected capacity group is created automatically. This happens when you save the hour line. In this case, the following question will appear: 'Operation is empty. Create operation with capacity group specified?'
Use this field to specify the machine on which the operation was performed. This field is used in the search path that is checked to determine the actual costing rate for the machine.
Use this field to specify the quantity produced by the operation, or the number of operations performed. The default quantity of the specified operation is filled in automatically, but it can be changed, where necessary.
Note: If equipment was used for an operation that is depreciated by piece produced, depreciation can take place only if you fill in the Quantity field.
Select this check box to confirm the operation as complete. This selection has implications for the data in the production modules. Posting the hour line has the following results:
Confirmations made in the Time Registration module using the Complete field can still be canceled in the production modules, and unconfirmed operations can be confirmed as complete. You are therefore not required to process confirmations with the Time Registration module.
Customer, Name, Part, Description
These fields are informational fields, and will be filled in automatically once you have specified an offer, order, production order, or work order.
Use this field to specify the employee who has worked the hours. This information is used to search for an actual costing rate for the labor costs.
This is the working hours table for the employee. The working hours table is filled in automatically after you have specified the employee code. The working hours table depends on the date specified on the hour line, and is defined in the employee's schedule. The working hours table is a mandatory field on the hour line, because as hour lines are processed, any overtime percentages are read and recorded based on the working hours table.
A working hours table contains the working hours and breaks for a shift. Registering working hours and breaks in a table enables the software to calculate the total number of hours worked, the break hours, and the overtime on an hour line.
There are two types of working hours tables: tables with fixed working hours, and tables with flexible working hours. The type of working table you enter determines the data to be specified on the Time registration form.
|
If the hour line contains a working hours table for fixed working hours, you need to specify exact working hours in the Start time and End time fields in the Clocked times section on the Time Registration form. |
|
When the hour line refers to a working hours table for variable working hours, register the hours worked in numbers. This means that an employee will account for the total number of hours he has worked, but does not have to specify the exact times. Entries in working hours tables of the 'Variable working hours' type may be made on the Time Registration form, both under Calculated times and under Clocked times. These entries are always processed in total time, however. In this context, 'total time' refers to entries such as 'Worked on production order Y for 2 hours', and 'Spent 0.5 hour cleaning machine Y'. Entries such as '12:00 to 13:15' are allowed, but will be processed as 'Worked for 1.25 hours'. The exact time of this entry will be included for information. In the case of variable working hours, hour lines with a 'Presence hours' or 'Absence registration' posting type are exceptions to the rule set out above. If exact start and end times are registered on such lines, the times will not be processed as total time. |
A cost center is required if the hour line has an hour code of the Indirect hours type. The costs relating to the hours posted are posted to the cost center.
To register why an operation took longer than the time calculated in the preliminary costing phase, you can specify the reason by means of a failure code. This enables you to check the statistics for the reason why the operation took longer than planned. Examples of failure codes are 'Machine failure' or 'Material not available'. Failure codes are informational only, and are only used for statistical purposes.
Clocked times
Specify the day on which the work specified on the hour line started. Isah will use this information, together with the data in the working hours table specified, to determine the calculated times.
Specify the day on which the work specified on the hour line ended. Isah will use this information, together with the data in the working hours table specified, to determine the calculated times.

Tip: You are recommended not to use a combination of exact hours and numbers of hours worked. You should use either fixed times (by specifying exact times), or variable times (by specifying totals or by having exact times converted).
Specify the time on which the work specified on the hour line ended. Isah will use this information, together with the data in the working hours table specified, to determine the calculated times.
Note: The fact that you specify an end time does not necessarily mean that the operation is complete. It is possible that the operation was continued at another time.

Calculated times
To enter breaks, you can choose from various methods.
- Not based on working hours table: |
The break times in the working hours table are regarded as hours worked. This means that even for break times, costs will be entered according to the percentage specified in the working hours table lines. |
- Entirely as break: |
The time filled in will be entered as a break. This option is available only if the hour code is of the 'Presence' posting type. |
This field can be filled in only if you enter the hour line in a working hours table of the 'Variable working hours' type. In that case, you can choose to enter exact working hours (under Clocked times), or a total time in the Total time field.
If you are entering hours in a working hours table of the 'Fixed working hours' type, use the Start time and End time fields in the Clocked times section.
