Purchase invoices for parts

Use the Purchase invoices for parts form to register part-related lines on purchase invoices. Register purchase invoice lines:

• For parts purchased for stock
• For parts purchased to order
• For indirect costs for which you have defined a part

Purchase invoice lines can be added in various ways:

• By auto-generating purchase invoice lines based on the purchase order
• By executing the Create purchase invoice lines from receipts process.
• By clicking on the Purchase invoices for parts form. This method is mandatory for all purchase invoices not preceded by a purchase order.

Once you have added the purchase invoice and the lines, the purchase invoice has been registered, but not posted yet. Therefore, no journal entries have been created either. To post the purchase invoice, use the Provisionally process purchase invoices or Permanently process purchase invoices process.

Note: If you open this form from the Permanently processed purchase invoices form, the VAT data are informational and cannot be changed.
