Order analyses

The Order analyses form contains the following information:

• The bottleneck analyses performed in Isah
• The results for each check performed for closing orders

The Analysis type field indicates the type of analysis: 'Bottleneck analysis' or 'Close orders'. For more details about the actual results of an analysis, for example about any bottlenecks found, select the analysis and click the Lines button.

Note: Before you can view the order analysis results, you must run the Run bottleneck analysis process or the Close orders process.

Note: These analysis lines are all also stored on the Message codes form.

Bottleneck analysis

Use bottleneck analyses to check production processes for possible problems. These bottlenecks can relate to the four calculation components: parts, operations, equipment, and external operations. Examples of possible progress issues are:

• There is insufficient stock of the parts required.
• The parts ordered will not be available when they are required in the production process.
• Production should have started by now.
• Final products should have been ready by now.
• Production has been delayed.
• The equipment is required for two production orders at the same time.
• The part requiring an external operation should have been sent by now.
• The part on which an external operation has been performed should have been returned by now.

You will find the processing results in the Order analyses form, which is available in the Sales module and the production modules. On this form, select the analysis of which you want to see the results.

Close orders (indicative)

Use the Close orders process to check whether sales offers or orders, or production files or orders have reached administrative completion and can therefore be closed. You could use the process to determine the appropriate time to transfer work in progress.

When you run the process, the relevant files will not actually be closed. The analysis does not result in any changes to the data checked. The analysis merely checks whether all items have been confirmed as complete, to allow the order to be closed if desired. If not all items have been confirmed as complete, you can take action for each item, in order to allow the order to be closed.
