Template texts

Use the Template texts form to define standard texts for each text code in different languages. You can then use Alt + Up Arrow to copy them to the Memo and Texts tabs, or use them for emails for sending documents.

You can add as many template texts as you want to a text code, as long as they all have a different language code. If you create an all-new text, create a new text code.

Where can you use the template text?

The text format determines where you can use the text and which formatting options are available:

When you create a template text, the text will automatically have the text format defined on the Texts form. If you change the text format on the Texts form, it will not affect any existing template texts.

Changing the text format

You can change the text format in the template text:

Adding hyperlinks

If you select 'HTML' as the text format, you can include a hyperlink to a web page in the template text. The recipient can then open your company website, for instance, simply by clicking some text or an image (see "Adding images" below) in your email. To add a hyperlink:

  1. Select some text or an image in the template text.
  2. Click Hyperlink, enter the address of the web page, and click 'OK'.

To check the address, select the text or image and click Hyperlink.

Adding images

You can add images to template texts in HTML format. You could, for example, add your company logo to your email. Use Select image or the copy and paste options to add an image. See the section "Adding hyperlinks" above for information about linking an image to a web page.

Personalizing texts by using placeholders

You can personalize template texts by using placeholders that are replaced by data stored in Isah when you apply the template text. For example, you can add a date and time placeholder. As soon as you apply the template text on the Memo tab, the current date and time are filled in automatically. This time stamp enables you to see when the memo text was created.

Template texts for email messages offer even more options for personalizing the message, both in the subject line and in the email body. For example, you can address the recipient personally in the salutation, and reference the sales offer, purchase order, or other documents.
