Shop Floor Control can be configured to support your specific workflow. For this, use the Settings tab in Shop Floor Control Configuration. Click Save settings to keep your changes.
Please note: It is possible to exit the Settings window without entering a value in a required field, but this may result in error messages in SFC. Please make sure all fields marked as required have been filled before exiting the Settings window.
Production
One of the columns in the lists that show the available work in SFC holds the production order codes that the operation lines belong to. If your company prefers to work with the production file codes, you need to change the setting in Production identified by to 'Production file'.
Department filter
This setting contains all departments that are visible in the operation filter for SFC. If left empty, all departments are visible in SFC.
Action and message type filter
This setting contains the action type groups from Isah. Action type groups are categories of action types. Only action types belonging to the groups you have selected here will be visible in SFC. If you want all action types to be visible in SFC, leave this setting empty.
This setting contains message type groups from Isah. Message type groups are categories of message types. Only message types belonging to the groups you have selected here will be visible in SFC. If you want all message types to be visible in SFC, leave this setting empty.
Failure filter
When an operation (man or machine) encounters a malfunction, it is possible to log this failure in SFC. For that, you first need to configure possible failures:
N.B.: If you leave the Failure group selection field empty, SFC will show all failure codes from Isah in SFC.
Memo
Activate this setting if users are allowed to change the operation Memo field in SFC. Any alterations will be saved automatically, but a Save button is available, as well as Undo and Redo buttons.
Machine
If a machine has been allocated to an operation in Isah, SFC will show this machine in the operation line. If SFC users are allowed to change the machine or add a machine where none is specified, activate the setting Machine editable. The button for changing machines in SFC () is only visible if this setting has been activated.
If the setting is not activated, machines cannot be changed in SFC.
Actions after reporting production quantities
This setting controls the creation of production receipts. You can use it to create and process them automatically when quantities are reported for the last operation in a production order.
You have three options:
When produced items are reported, this setting determines if the parts are issued automatically.
This setting has three options:
Process parts issues
This setting determines if manual issues are processed immediately.
Please note: Manual issues from stock are only possible if backflushing is set to inactive for the material in question.
Parts needed for an operation can be issued from SFC. Both planned and unplanned parts issues are possible. Usually, parts will be taken from the stock inventory, but if the setting Issue purchased parts is activated, it is also possible to issue parts that have been purchased for the operation. In this case, SFC will not only show stock inventory lines for the parts needed for an operation, but purchase lines as well.
Conditions
Parts can only be issued from purchase if the following conditions are met:
These settings can be found on the Logistics tab of the Parts module. The WIP location can be set to active or inactive for each part, but the configuration of the WIP location can only be changed in the General Settings module.

Clusters
If you want to be able to create or change clusters in SFC, activate this field. If this field is not activated, clusters can only be created and changed in Isah.
Please note: Working with clusters in Isah and/or SFC is only possible if clusters are included in your Isah license.
Report quantities for clusters
Activate this field to enable employees to book produced quantities for clusters. Leave this setting empty if your company never works with quantities when operations have been clustered.
Documents
Use document permissions from Isah
If this setting is active, SFC users see documents based on the document permissions set in Isah (form 0624). If this setting is not active, SFC shows all documents for an operation or order.
Logon
Use SFC to manage presence at logon
This setting determines whether or not the presence indicator on the Login form is controlled by Shop Floor Control. If the presence is registered by an external system, this setting should be set to inactive.
If SFC registers presence (the setting is active), SFC creates an hour registration line for presence in Isah when a user logs in to SFC. When accounting for time in SFC, users will see the time they were present and need to account for.
If SFC does not register presence, the hour registration lines in your time registration will reflect this. There won't be any presence information available, only lines accounting for the work that has been done and the time spent on them. When accounting for time in SFC, users will not see any presence information either.
Managing presence in an external system
If you want to manage presence hours via an external application, several issues are important:
It is possible to log presence in an external application (for instance with a magnetic key upon entrance), but to let SFC log the time the employee leaves work. In this case, SFC will change the end time as well as the indicator when the employee leaves.
This setting determines if users need a PIN code. If it is active, the user needs a four-digit PIN code that needs to be entered every time they log on. The user can change the PIN code in the Shop Floor Control Settings window.
If users need to be able to log in from an external system or tool, such as a magnetic key, activate this setting. Once it has been activated, a new field will appear in the SFC Settings window on the terminal(s). With this setting in SFC, it is possible to switch the external login option off or on for specific terminals.
Note: To create a bridge between your external login system (for instance magnetic keys) and SFC, you will need to add code. For instructions, see Appendix A: Configuring An External Login Option.
Logoff
Automatic logoff working hours tables
If a timetable or timetables for working hours (divided by a semicolon) are set in this field, users will be automatically logged out (and their running operation stopped) at a specific time. The time is set per hour code. You can configure this time in the Isah window for hour codes.
Check presence/absence in schedule
When the user ends a shift, Shop Floor Control checks if the presence registered by the application is in accordance with the schedule for that day. If the setting is active, the application will force the user to add time registrations for absence periods.
This value is used for the Check presence/absence in schedule setting and determines the time margin allowed for presence time. A difference in hours is only considered a mismatch if it is larger than the margin configured here.
Check time registration with presence
When a user ends a working day, Shop Floor Control checks if the working hours registered by the application are in accordance with the time the user was present. This setting determines if the application will force the user to add time registrations if there is a mismatch between presence hours and registered hours:
Margin (hh:mm) for time registration
This value is used for the Check time registration with presence field and determines the time margin allowed for working hours. A difference in hours is only considered a mismatch if it is larger than the margin configured here.
This setting contains the hour groups from Isah. Hour groups are categories of hour codes. Only hour codes belonging to the groups you have selected here will be visible in SFC. If you want all hour codes to be visible in SFC, leave this setting empty.
Defaults
This field sets the initial status code for unplanned, new operations that are created in the SFC application. Operations with this status code will always be shown in the operations overview, regardless of the operation status range defined in the settings.
It is possible to specify a working hours timetable for users without a work schedule for the current day. If this has been done and a user logs in, SFC creates a schedule line. If the default timetable is empty, users without a schedule cannot log in to SFC.
Machine operations will be booked on the timetable specified here.
Note: If you do not specify a machine timetable, it means you will not be working with machine operations. The settings for machine hour codes (under the heading Machine hour codes in the configuration tool) will be disabled, and you will not be able to start machine operations in SFC.

Default values for operation times
The various operation times can be linked to hour codes. This is needed for the time selection to be available in Shop Floor Control. If no hour code is configured, the selection will not be available.
