Use the Goods Receipt module to register receipts from third parties. Purchase orders are used as the basis for the receipt lines. This will ensure that all relevant data are available to you, and allows you to register the receipt of goods ordered under a purchase order.
In the Goods receipt module, you can register not only receipts based on purchase orders, but also two special forms of receipts:
Receipts from customers: These receipts are components received from a customer in order to be incorporated in a product intended for this customer, for example a business nameplate to be attached to a machine.
Receipts without order: These are also components received from a customer to be included in a finished product for this customer, but with this method, the components received are stocked and issued at a later time to the order for which they are required. This scenario is common in sheltered workshops.
